葬我于高山之上兮，

望我大陆；

大陆不可见兮，

只有痛哭。

葬我于高山之上兮，

望我故乡；

故乡不可见兮，

永不能忘。

天苍苍， 野茫茫；

山之上， 国有殇。

Oh! Bury me on top of the highest mountain

So that I could look into my land,

But my land is far across the Straits, out of sight,

But I cannot but cry to you, my land!

Oh! Bury me on top of the highest mountain

So that I could look into my home,

But my home is far on the other side, out of sight,

But I can never forget you, my home!

The sky is blue and blurry, alas!

And the earth is wide and wild!

My lonely soul will be wandering forever

Atop the mountain for my homeland!
