江  雪

千山鸟飞绝，

万径人踪灭。

孤舟蓑笠翁，

独钓寒江雪。

The Rill in the Snow

In myriad mountains no birds can be traced;

On sundry paths no footprints can be trailed.

A lonely boat, an old man in cloak braced

A bamboo hat, fishing in snowy rill, paled.

Note:

This poem was written by Liu Zongyuan, a famous Tang poet after he was demoted and expelled to Yongzhou in Hunan Province.
