“If you want to achieve a high goal, you’re going to have to take some chances.”here is a big chance for your guys? What’s it? That’s Xiamen international marathon.
Dear fellow members and welcome guests
Life is like a marathon. You never know how far you can run if you do not try. Most people will drop out halfway, and they will never know that pain is temporary but pride is forever. The same applies to our daily life, you never know how successful you will be if you give up easily.
I took part in the half marathon last year. When I filled in the application form, I thought it was too far for me. Running 21.1 km would kill me. I had never done jogging more than 5 km. How could I finish the half marathon? I thought it was impossible for me and I wanted to give up when I saw the form. But if I didn’t try, I would never know the limit of my body. I finally made a decision to challenge the half marathon. We should have ambition in our life, never give up, keep challenging it. Just work hard, follow your heart and your dreams will come true.
After submitting the application, I started my training. I kept training 3 times a week. At the beginning, it was difficult for me. When I jogged 5 km, I feel pain in my legs, I couldn’t run any farther. Then I stopped my training and went home listen music and have a cup of tea. On my way home, I blamed myself for not being able to persist. But I never ran more than 5km before. So I told myself that I should give myself some time to improve, I would be better next time. I learned to encourage myself and kept training.
On the day of Marathon, I was proud to be one of the 80,000 participants. When I passed the scratch line, it already took me 20minutes,I thought I should took part in full marathon next year. At the beginning I felt comfortable. I was running and taking photos and videos at the same time. When I passed the 10 km sign, it already took me 2 hours. Oh my god. I should run more than 10 km within one hour in order to reach the finish line, otherwise I might not be qualified for getting the metal. At that time, the first thought came into my mind was to give up. Then I asked myself why I wanted to participated in the marathon? I wanted to get a medal. So I put my camera into my bag and speeded up. When I reach the 17km sign, my knees already injured. ,it was very painful. But time running out, I had to run more than 4.1km within 25 minutes. I went to Medicare station to spray my knees and kept running. I would not give up! When I reached the 20 km sign, I had 8 minutes left. But it’s hard for me to run any further. My knees were very painful. People encouraged me to keep running and made me forget the pain. I set my teeth and kept running. Finally, I reached the finish line after 2hours and 57minutes.
"The body does not want you to do this. As you run, it tells you to stop but the mind must be strong. You always go too far for your body. You must handle the pain with strategy...It is not age; it is not diet. It is the will to succeed." “Never give up, your life will be successful.” "Pain is temporary, Pride is forever" 2012 Xiamen international marathon. I am coming….
Thank you!
